Foreign Office, June 10, 1911. I HAVE received your despatch No. 177 of the 25th April last enclosing a despatch from His Majesty's consul at Amoy respecting the circumstances in which three chests of Bengal opium and ten chests of Malwa opium, shipped from Hong Kong to Amoy, were seized in the district of Wing Ting.
The action taken by you in addressing a protest to the Chinese Government has my approval.
